We are delighted to be a part of GROMIT UNLEASHED a public art exhibition in which giant sculptures of Gromit, decorated by invited artists, have been unleashed on the streets of Bristol and the surrounding area. At the end of the project, the sculptures will be auctioned to raise funds for Wallace & Gromit’s Grand Appeal, the Bristol Children’s Hospital Charity.

With the help of the handy ‘Detect- O Gromit’ app (available here) you can take the full trail and seek out the whole selection of bespoke Gromits all around the city!   See the trail  map below.

Our Gromit entitled ‘A Grand Day Out’ arrived on site on 1st July and will be here until 8th September. Why not pop down for a visit and get your picture with him as part of the trail?  Have a spot of lunch from the delicious menu at our unique on- site cafe, Yurt Lush or a cool drink or ice cream at The Goods Yard Bar.  You could even take the ferry to/from Creative Common and make it a grand day out indeed!

Also, on 21st July as part of the ‘Make Sunday’s Special‘ initiative and in association with Bristol Bicycle Festival we will be screening ‘A Grand Day Out’, the Bafta-winning, Oscar-nominated claymation by Nick Park, which introduced the world to Wallace and his canine companion Gromit.  The screening will form part of the festivals Carnivelo which includes a fancy dress bike parade and more!
